Innovative multi analytical Characterisation of the influence of pAtina-coating inteRaction on anti-corrosive propErties
PNRR M4C2: PRIN 2022
Acronym: InCARE
Description
The project is part of the theme of the protection of outdoor bronze monuments, where the interest is increasingly oriented towards eco-compatible and safe treatments. It is aimed at studying the influence of the patina-protective interaction on the effectiveness of treatments and at defining test and analysis protocols necessary to compare and harmonize the results obtained by different research groups, through:
1 - Definition of the variables that influence corrosion process in complex patina-protective-environment systems (formulations, application methods, composition and morphology of the patina, variability of the surface, effects of aging).
2 - Individuation of the most significant variables and of the most informative analytical techniques for evaluating treatments, through multivariate analysis.
