Description

3D-4CH will establish an online competence centre to support cultural institutions in adopting 3D and other advanced technologies for cultural heritage digitization. The centre will provide access to knowledge, best practice guidelines and standards, certified training opportunities, established tools and services, and information about latest developments and research. For researchers, educators and enterprises, the centre will offer a platform to share news and offer courses, materials and tools for certification.

Training, Connecting, Innovating

The 3D-4CH Winter School 2026 will bring together professionals, researchers, and practitioners from across Europe for three days of training, networking, and innovation in the field of 3D cultural heritage.

Hosted at the Royal Museums of Art and History, Brussels, the Winter School provides a unique opportunity to explore how 3D technologies are transforming the preservation, documentation, and dissemination of Europe’s cultural assets.

Organised by the 3D-4CH project in cooperation with the Twin it! Part II campaign (Europeana Foundation & European Commission), the event offers a dynamic programme of keynote lectures, practical workshop, and collaborative sessions designed for museum professionals, digitisation experts, and cultural heritage practitioners.

Programme Highlights:

  • Day 1 (Hybrid): Opening keynote sessions and best practices for planning 3D projects in heritage institutions.
  • Days 2–3 (In-person): Intensive hands-on workshop covering complete 3D digitisation workflows and practical applications.
