My research is concerned with the analytical characterization, also non-invasive, of artworks (paintings, archaeological findings, mortars, stuccoes) for the study of artistic technique and state of conservation. Most recent projects have involved prints, painted photographs and applied art belonging to the Japanese artistic tradition.
