Angela Bellia is a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR), Institute of Heritage Science (ISPC). Her work concerns soundscape archaeology, aural architecture, sonic heritage, archaeoacoustics, digital heritage; archaeology of performances, sound studies, experienced ancient religious (sound) studies, sensory archaeology; archaeology of musical and dance performances, archaeomusicology, and archaeology of sound (SH5; SH6; SH8).

Angela Bellia has been the Principal Investigator of European research projects. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator of the project AURAL: Exploring the Potential of Immersive Virtual Reality for Experiencing Archaeological Soundscapes funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

She is regularly invited to be an evaluator and an expert member in panels and committees for the evaluation of European projects and for International Research Agencies.
