Volume 1: Introductory Essays
The first volume describes the archaeological and historical context of the documents, the discovery and decipherment of Linear B, the other Aegean writing systems, the nature of Linear B documents and the characteristics of the Mycenaean dialect. It also contains a series of chapters on Mycenaean geography, society, economy and religion.
Volume 2. Selected Tablets and Endmatter
The second volume contains the translation, interpretation and commentary of over three hundred Linear B tablets, organised by themes.
